Day 18 - Baby steps are small movements, less swelling and stable vital signs. It is all we can ask for. She will be back with us when she is ready. The support on this page and on Facebook is incredible! Thank you all for your continued support. We love you Alyssa!

Hi, this is Alyssa's dad Don Loschiavo. The care Alyssa has received at ECMC has been above and beyond our wildest dreams and they were even kind enough to give us a conference room to stay in. Your prayers, support and ECMC's staff have brought us to this point, from critical to serious. At this point it is a waiting game; it's up to her and God what the next move is. Thank you and God Bless you!

Alyssa had a minor procedure the other day in which her left lung was drained. Today the attending doctor said he was happy with the outcome, but is still waiting for the results of the culture. Other than that she has remained stable and pointing in the right direction. Please continue to pray for her and the family!

Alyssa is continuing her fight. She was taken off the ventilator on Father's Day (June 19th) and has remained off the vent. She has been breathing on her own the entire time. She is moving and fighting to wake up. When she does, we will all be here for her. Please double up on those prayers!

"Well Alyssa has reached the fulcrum of her accident and whatever way she goes, she goes. Her condition is stable [but serious] and shes still breathing on her own. Dr. Gary Wang is giving her special meds to help her 'come around' and I hope in the end it works. So right now we are crossing our fingers and praying for Gods divine intervention. We all believe and all we need is Alyssa to believe." Don Loschiavo

Alyssa has been moved to the 8th floor. The rehab floor. She is in excellent care there.
